Charity Work
At Sacred Heart, we are deeply committed to supporting charity work as part of our mission to nurture compassionate, responsible global citizens. Our students actively engage in fundraising activities, donation drives and community projects that make a meaningful difference locally and globally. These efforts are closely linked to the principles of UNICEF’s Rights of the Child, fostering a strong understanding of the importance of rights such as the right to education, healthcare, and protection. By participating in charity work, our students develop empathy, teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility while learning to advocate for those in need. Together, we strive to uphold every child's right to thrive and succeed in a fair and just world.
Harvest
Our Harvest celebration this year focused on supporting the Tipton Foodbank, helping families in our local community during times of need. Students, parents and staff came together to donate a wonderful variety of essential items, including tinned goods, pasta, rice, and toiletries. These contributions were thoughtfully packed and delivered to the Foodbank, where they provided much-needed support to individuals and families facing hardship. Through this initiative, we not only celebrated the season of giving but also reinforced the values of compassion, kindness, and community responsibility. We are incredibly proud of our school community for their generosity and commitment to making a difference.
Ronald McDonald House
This year, we were proud to support Ronald McDonald House, located near Birmingham Children’s Hospital. With 66 rooms on-site, they provided temporary housing for families of children aged 0-16 undergoing treatment. Your donations brought much-needed support to these families during the Christmas season.
Recognising the challenges of the current cost of living, we asked for voluntary donations only. As a thank you, any student who brought a donation was allowed to wear their own clothes on that day. For those unable to donate an item, we welcomed letters or drawings from you and your child to send instead.
