English - Remote Learning.
During Spring Term, we have been looking how to write the sequel to a story. We used the video stimulus of Broken, from Literacy Shed, which was based on the game Rock, Paper, Scissors. We looked at how to write a plot for a story using the same characters and setting. We thoroughly enjoyed being creative and changing up the rules of the game. Whilst writing this narrative we have focused on speech, time adverbials and introduced new vocabulary to apply to our work.
We have developed our prediction and inference skills whilst analysing the relationship between the different characters and the plot.
After half term we will be continuing using video stimuli to develop our guided reading and writing skills.
During this year, we have been developing our vocabulary and spelling by focusing on the Year 3/4 Statutory Vocabulary List. Children will be randomly tested on these words throughout the year. Weekly spellings will also be given out on a Monday and tested on a Friday.
