The Boy at the Back of the Class is a child's perspective on the refugee crisis, highlighting the importance of friendship and kindness in a world that doesn't always make sense.

In English, we will be writing a diary from the viewpoint of Ahmet a refugee child who is new to London. We will be covering a range of SPAG skills such as fronted adverbials, synonyms, adverbs and past tense verbs. We will also be writing a newspaper report based on the text. We will be focussing on apostrophes for possession, standard English, expanded noun phrases and direct speech.
