At Sacred Heart, we have recently launched a teacher-led digital platform called imoves. Imoves is the only evidence based programme which aims to help learners become more active throughout the school day.
Every Child should have at least 60 minutes of activity everyday - as schools and parents it is our responsibility to ensure that this happens. Recommendations from the NHS Chief Medical Officer is that 30 minutes of this should be done in school and 30 minutes of this should be at home.
As a school, we are committed to ensuring that we fulfil our requirements of getting every child active for at least 30 minutes a day.
Throughout the next year we will be rolling out our Active Schools Programme. this will mean that your child will be more active during the school day - whether it be during break or lunch time or even in lesson time. It is all about getting children out of their seats and moving around to reduce sedentary behaviour which effects concentration and behaviour.
