Our key texts are:

We will be making marks and identifying our marks this half term whilst also recognising familiar logos and labels within the environment.

We will be reading and re-reading a selection of books and engage in conversation about stories, learning new vocabulary.

We will be learning a range of nursery rhymes, looking at picture books and talking about different characters in stories - what are they doing? To know that different stories have different characters. 

We will be talking about ourselves and our families.

In phonics we will be covering Aspect 1 - Environmental sounds where children will be going on exciting sound walks both indoor and outdoors having special ' listening moments'. 

We will also become familiar with the pictures that represent all the initial sounds in read, write inc phonics in Set 1.
