Personal, Social and Emotional Development
At Sacred Heart we are proud to have achieved the Sandwell Charter Mark (2018), which promotes and embeds positive mental health and well-being. Our ‘Healthy Mind, Happy Me’ programme focuses on giving our pupils the knowledge and understanding they need to make informed decisions about their well-being, health and relationships, and to build their self-efficacy. These outcomes encompass our school core values and underpin our teaching and learning to prepare our pupils to be responsible citizens, respectful, resourceful and resilient. Our curriculum is designed to promote an understanding of British Values and equality which aims to give every child at Sacred Heart the best start to life.
We plan and deliver daily circle time activities which enables us to create class discussions based around particular themes / take turns in talking and listening to others helping us develop our own listening skills too / sharing / embedding our golden rules in class. We always record any of our achievements in our class floor book.
