This half term our topic is Festivals and Celebrations.

We have been participating in events and celebrations linked to a range of religions, understanding how and why they are celebrated.

For Diwali, we dressed up in traditional clothing, we tried Indian snacks, and we make Diya lamps and rangoli patters.

For Bonfire Night, we learned about Guy Fawkes, we created firework pictures and talked about fire safety. We wrapped up warm and our teachers showed us sparklers outside, then we went inside for hot chocolate!

For Christmas, we will be learning about the Christmas story! 
We will participate in Christmas traditions, and understand why people celebrate it and its importance.
