World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is marked every year on 10th October. It’s a special day to come together, talk about mental health, and remind everyone how important it is to look after our minds. Talking about how we feel can help us handle life’s ups and downs and support each other along the way.
This links to several important rights from the UNICEF Rights of the Child, such as:
- Article 24: The right to the best possible health, including mental health.
- Article 12: The right to express your views and have them listened to.
- Article 19: The right to be protected from harm, including emotional and mental harm.
By recognising and supporting mental health, we help ensure that every child has the chance to thrive and feel safe.
