Children's Mental Health and Wellbeing
Children’s Mental Health Week
This year’s theme was This Is My Place.
Having a sense of belonging as individuals, in friendships and in our schools is important for our mental health. When we feel we belong, it empowers us to contribute to the world and make a difference.
For Children’s Mental Health Week, we encouraged people to create inclusive and nurturing environments where children can say, This Is My Place.
Year 1
In Year 1 we spent time talking about where we feel we belong, where we feel safe, values and included. As part of our lesson, we took part in a welcome circle, where we all sat together and took turns to introduce ourselves, and talk about a person who makes us feel happy.

To finish, we created artwork to express our own interpretations of belonging.
