How to help at home
Maths
A key area we continue to practise is Maths, especially helping children develop a strong understanding of number value, as well as adding and subtracting. When children really understand what numbers represent, it helps them become much more confident when solving problems and explaining their thinking.
There are some great online resources that we also use in school which children can practise at home:
> TT Rockstars – for practising times tables. In Year 1 we focus on the 2s, 5s and 10s.
> Numbots – great for building quick recall and number understanding.

Learning Across All Subjects
For learning across all subjects, the BBC Bitesize homepage is also fantastic. It has a huge range of fun, interactive and informative resources for every subject and year group — from Reception all the way up to Year 11.
It’s a great platform that stays up to date with the UK curriculum, and highly recommended it if your child would like to explore more learning at home.
