In our school, we have a designated governor with responsibility for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Mahela Khatun.

Her role is to liaise regularly with the SENDCo throughout the year, ensuring that pupils with SEND receive the appropriate support to access all areas of learning and to participate fully in school life.

Mahela Khatun acts as the link between the Governing Body and the school in relation to SEND provision. This enables any concerns or developments regarding SEND to be shared, discussed and addressed effectively.

In addition, the Headteacher provides a regular report to Governing Body meetings, which includes updates on SEND provision, progress, and key developments within the school.
