Welcome to Sacred Heart Primary School

Welcome to Sacred Heart Primary School. We welcome you to our school and we look forward to a happy and successful partnership.

We strive to build strong links between home and school so that we can work together for the benefit of our children. We want our children to grow into responsible adults with an understanding of the communities and world in which they live. We can only achieve this with your help, support and understanding.

I hope you find the information provided about our school useful. Please contact the school office on 0121 557 1511 for any further help or information.
Our vision is to develop young people who will have active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, cultural and physical.

Sacred Heart Primary School is expanding into a 2-form-entry primary school in Sandwell’s Local Authority for children from 3 to 11 years of age. We are a richly diverse community, and pride ourselves on our highly inclusive practice, endorsed by achieving the Sandwell Inclusion Quality Mark for the second time at the highest level (Enhanced level).

Your child will receive high quality teaching and learning experiences, together with the highest quality of care. Our curriculum ensures that every child has the opportunity to develop into confident, independent and caring young people with a lifelong love of learning.

Our children are polite, friendly and well-behaved. They are encouraged to take responsibility for the development of their school through the School Council, and Year 6 pupils are expected to take a role in their final year leading the school forward, through various roles such as Head Boy and Head Girl. All pupils from Nursery to Year 6 have opportunities to take part in many Out-of-school activities and clubs; and there is an off-site Residential experience for our Year Six pupils.

The school has received many ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ reports from outside agencies; parents and community groups. We have a number of awards which recognise the good practice provided by our setting.

To achieve the best outcomes for your child I strongly believe that home and school need to work in partnership. Parents are warmly invited into the setting. We hold regular consultation meetings during the year and Home-School Agreements are in place.

I hope this information has given you a brief insight into our very special school. I look forward to welcoming new children; parents and visitors into our learning family.

Warmest regards,

Joy Agbonlahor (Headteacher)
