Just a little note from Mrs Jenkins & Miss Freeman:
Please ensure that your child is using TTRS more regularly over the coming weeks.
It is vital that our children are becoming fluent and confident with their times tables, as it will help develop their maths skills and their knowledge.
Log-ins will be sent out again next week (WB: 26th September) but If you need your childs log-in again, please do not hesitate to speak to me.
The children will be having a multiplication check at the end of Year 4 in the summer term. For extra practice, please use this link to a mock multiplication check. You can choose between 3 different levels which will suit your child. Have fun!

Reading:
Reading is very important and even though we are not in school, I would like you to continue your reading. Reading can offer us many different things. It can improve our knowledge, we can escape from reality or even embark on a new adventure.
Encourage your children to talk about their favourite books and authors at home. That way, they are able to talk about why they enjoy reading their books and how they feel reading them. It is a good conversation starter!
Parents, please let your child read to you but you can also read to them. Just 15 minutes each day will help strengthen their love of reading.
What are we reading in class?
We are currently reading:
Harry Potter is a boy who learns on his eleventh birthday that he is the orphaned son of two powerful wizards and possesses unique magical powers of his own. He is summoned from his life as an unwanted child to become a student at Hogwarts, an English boarding school for wizards. There, he meets several friends who become his closest allies and help him discover the truth about his parents' mysterious deaths.
