Support Services for parents

Family Support Services

There are a number of support services available in Sandwell that provide advice, guidance and information to parents and pupils.

These services aim to explain Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) processes and procedures, help families understand relevant legislation and how it applies to their child, and offer information on a range of related topics that may be helpful in supporting children and young people with additional needs.

The Family information Service Hub in Sandwell offers support for families in a variety of ways:

'Our mission is to help all families in Sandwell thrive. Family Hubs will offer the right help, in the right place, at the right time by offering services and support for all families with children aged 0 to 19 (or 25 with SEND) and extra support is available for families during pregnancy and in your baby’s first years. '
