Nurture Sessions
Nurture sessions and groups
Our highly trained and experienced Nurture Lead is specifically trained to work with individuals or small groups. Sessions are fun and informative, using activities and resources to motivate, engage and support the children.
These sessions run weekly in school for 6-8 weeks led by a qualified member of staff. During these sessions we cover a range of Social and Emotional issues, including workshops on the following: Self-Esteem, Resilience, Social Skills, Friendship, Mindfulness, Self-regulation and many more.
As well as small group work sessions we are also able to offer bespoke individual sessions that are tailored to the individual needs of the child. Some of these sessions can include Art Therapy, Talking Therapy or Play Therapy. These sessions would run either weekly or fortnightly, depending on the need. Individual sessions will be initially reviewed at session six with the aim of ending on session eight.
Before children attend nurture, provision parents are informed by letter and are requested to sign a permission slip.
