Recycle Week 2025
From 22nd September to 26th, our school celebrated Recycle Week. All year groups from Year 1 to Year 6 took part in exciting workshops to learn more about recycling and protecting our planet. Some classes made envelopes using old newspapers, others designed colourful posters, while some explored the bins around school to see what materials should go where. Pupils also enjoyed making bird feeders from clay and seeds, showing how reusing materials can help nature. Recycling is not just about reducing waste; it’s about caring for the world we share. This links to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), Article 24, which reminds us that every child has the right to a clean and healthy environment. By learning to recycle and reuse, we are helping to make sure that right is respected for all children now and in the future.
