SciSPACE

Fourteen Year 6 pupils recently had the exciting opportunity to attend the SciSPACE event at Millennium Point, home to the renowned Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum. The day was packed with hands-on scientific experiences that inspired curiosity, creativity and a love of learning. From observing advanced robots in action to launching rockets and taking part in a range of interactive STEM activities, the children were able to explore real-world science in an engaging and memorable way. Throughout the visit, pupils made meaningful links to the Rights of the Child, particularly the right to access education, develop their talents and reach their full potential. They also demonstrated key British Values, including mutual respect, individual liberty and responsibility, while working collaboratively with others. The children showed outstanding courage, resilience, independence and communication skills, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Their excellent behaviour and positive attitude were a credit to the school, and they returned full of excitement, new knowledge and inspiration for the future. It was truly an unforgettable experience that brought science to life and encouraged our young learners to think like the scientists, engineers and innovators of tomorrow.
