Long-Term Plans (LTPs)

 

Our long-term plans (LTP) outline the progression of mathematics learning across the school year, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum. They are designed using a mastery approach, following the Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) progression, so that pupils first experience concepts through hands-on activities, then visual representations, and finally abstract methods. The plans build on prior knowledge, developing fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills to ensure all pupils gain a deep and secure understanding of mathematical concepts.
