Peace Chain

Article 13 states that children have a right to find out and share information. As part of this, children at Sacred Heart regularly watch 'Picture-News.' This year, 'Picture-News' launched a campaign to spread peace. Spreading peace is important for us to be good citizens; as stated in Article 36, all children have the right to be kept safe from things that could harm their development.

Our world has seen conflict and unrest this year, and sometimes the news can feel daunting. However, small acts of kindness help us spread peace in our communities and homes, and can make a real difference. We spoke about what things we find peaceful and then created our 'Peace' chain pictured below - every child had an opportunity to create a link for the chain.
