World Day of Multicultural Diversity
UNICEF Article number 29 states 'I have the right to an education which develops my personality, talents and abilities.' On May 21st, we celebrated 'World Day of Multicultural Diversity;' this allowed children to develop their personalities by embracing their cultures and sharing them with others. It was a FABULOUS day with lots of positive feedback. From a parent 'stay and play' session in EYFS (which was thoroughly enjoyed by parents), to learning cultural dances in KS1, not a single child felt left out. LKS2 and UKS2 also enjoyed a variety of activities. Below are just a few images from the day; they certainly do not do the day any justice! Videos of dance performances were too large to upload but we are sure the children had lots to say!
